Welcome to Doors Open Saskatoon 2009

Join us for an afternoon of fun peeking behind doors that are not normally open to the public or would normally charge an entrance fee. Many locations have organized guided tours, displays and activities to enrich the visitor experience.

What?

Doors Open Saskatoon 2009 showcases buildings in various clusters around Saskatoon – Riversdale, Downtown and Broadway/University.

Why?

To help people understand and enjoy their architectural environment and encourage awareness of their built heritage. This event is an opportunity to raise awareness of the value of their built heritage.

When?

Sunday, May 31 – noon to 5:00 PM.

What’s new this year?

Doors Open Saskatoon 2009 celebrates the inherently green credentials of historic buildings and highlights how they have been upgraded to more environmentally friendly standards. But not only historic buildings. We invite you to visit the brand spanking new Law Building on University Campus which was built to LEED gold standard.

Cost?

The public can enter any Doors Open Saskatoon building Free of charge . Volunteer hosts will greet the public and provide guidance and direction to visitors.

Anyone who is looking for a fun way to explore their city!
